3. Philadelphia 76ers

Until Giannis Antetokounmpo officially claims his throne, the Eastern Conference is still up for grabs. One team that still has a chance to rival the Milwaukee Bucks for years to come is the Philadelphia 76ers.

The tandem of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid has been enough to drag the 76ers out of the lottery but is still missing something. Though talented individually, the two don’t fit together at all. As a result, we could see the 76ers ship one of them sometime soon.

The Warriors would be wise to snag Embiid if they can. Embiid is a versatile defender and good enough on offense to be in the MVP conversation when he is healthy. Of course, that is a big concern for Embiid who has missed a big chunk of nearly every season he has appeared in.

Still, it’s hard to deny Embiid’s 23.4 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. He could bolster the Warriors defense and give them a truly elite inside presence. Furthermore, a reunion with Glenn Robinson III would help provide much-needed wing depth.
