Gordon Hayward

Coming in at No. 3 is Gordon Hayward.

Currently playing for the Celtics, Hayward became a household name while on the Jazz. The 30-year-old played just one game two seasons ago after suffering that gruesome leg injury in the season opener.

It’s been a tough road back to the top for Hayward. However, he’s slowing making his way there.

Averaging 17.3 points per game in 45 appearances this season, Hayward shot over 50% from the field for the first time in his career this season. Losing some athleticism, Hayward’s grown smarter as a player, and his percentages have benefitted from that.

He’ll undoubtedly see a large contract, whether it’s by the Celtics or a team with enough cap space to offer him something significant. That said, the Warriors could actually use a solid, smart small forward, but they certainly won’t have the money to sign former All-Star.

For now, it’s a pipe dream, but if they can deal Andrew Wiggins, it would become a much more feasible option. The probability of that happening though is theoretically none.
