The Golden State Warriors could’ve dealt Draymond Green in order to retain Kevin Durant, assuming Green was the problem which he adamantly denies.

If Kevin Durant wanted to stay with the Golden State Warriors, Draymond Green was out. Durant knows it, Green knows it, and we know it. But, where would he be headed if he were to have been traded a year ago?

That said, it feels like an eternity ago, but Kevin Durant left around ten months ago. He made his decisions not to stay with the Golden State Warriors after two championships in the past three seasons.

Dub Nation didn’t resent him for that decision, but Draymond Green isn’t buying that he’s the reason Durant wanted out.

Green wanted to make that clear, but had Durant wanted to stay and Green had been the reason he wanted to leave, we all know Myers would’ve found a way to retain the four-time scoring champion.

Durant is that important and Green knew it.

Let’s create a little what-if scenario. What if Durant wanted Green out? What was next for Green? That said, let’s dive into three perfect-fit teams the Warriors could have bargained Green’s value with this past offseason.
