Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors just defeated the Golden State Warriors. Would it sting to trade him to a team that just won the title? Sure. But, at the end of the day, the Raptors, like the Mavericks, would be in a position to make the most of Green’s ability.
The Raptors have Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam. Kawhi Leonard left the team this offseason, and they never replaced his production. While they are still a top team in the Eastern Conference, there’s no denying they need a bit more firepower.
Green, at his peak, averaged 14.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 7.4 assists.
That’s elite, and if he could show that caliber player, it’d be obvious that he’d have quite a bit of trade value, especially to a team that is coming off a championship and just lost their superstar forward.
All that to say, Green is right. Myers likely would’ve found him a new, relatively quality home if Durant wanted him out. But, we have Green, and we’re thankful he’s locked up for a while after signing an extension this past offseason.
