Should stockpile future picks (potential midseason trade)

The Golden State Warriors should still be in a win-now mode. Yes, they likely won’t win over 20 games this season, but the return of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry will change everything for this team.

If the Warriors use this pick, they’re stuck with that player.

But, if they decide to trade it, those assets still have the potential to be auctioned off instead of the Warriors reaching into their bag for the Wolves 2021 draft pick to find something worth trade value.

The Warriors, undoubtedly a team likely to make the 2021 playoffs, will need some help. They may need to find a trade partner to deal Andrew Wiggins and bring in a more capable talent like Robert Covington or Bradley Beal.

This team will need help next season, and whoever they may potentially get in the draft may not cut it. However, the value of their pick could aid in bringing in a player that does put them over the top.
