4. Oklahoma City Thunder

Nobody expected the Oklahoma City Thunder to be as good as they have been this season. When the franchise finally parted ways with Russell Westbrook and dealt Paul George in the same summer, most assumed it was officially rebuilding time.

However, we all failed to appreciate the value of a core made up of players with something to prove. Chris Paul, Dennis Schroder, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari have been on a mission to silence the critics.

This ragtag team has forced its way to a 40-24 record and the fifth seed in the Western Conference. Still, the fact remains that this team is better off looking to rebuild. Consequently, we could see another firesale from the Thunder in the offseason.

Schroder may be exactly the type of sixth-man the Dubs need. He is posting career-high numbers of 19.0 points and 4.1 assists per game. Golden State should monitor this situation and see if they can pry Schroeder from the Thunder.
