3. Obi Toppin (F – Dayton)

Strengths:

We have had plenty of time to witness Obi Toppin’s exponential growth at Dayton. As a sophomore, Toppin improved in nearly every aspect and become a staple of his team’s offense. He is an athletic stretch big that can fill up the scoring sheet from every spot on the floor.

Weaknesses:

Toppin is top-heavy and lacks lateral quickness. His slow foot speed can get him burned off the dribble. Most of all, he is an older prospect at 22 years of age. This means the potential for him to make another notable leap is limited.

Outlook:

Toppin is the most NBA ready prospect the Golden State Warriors could select. He is ready to fill in as a space-and-pace player immediately and could help buff the Dubs frontcourt attack.
