2. Draft a potential star (Longterm)

Sometimes you gotta risk it to get the biscuit. The Golden State Warriors are in a unique position to swing for the fences and draft for a potential superstar with fewer risks than usual.

The Warriors aren’t relying on a young prospect to swoop in and save their franchise from doom. They already have a two-time MVP in Stephen Curry to lead them for the next few seasons. Still, it would be beneficial to have the next generation of Warriors’ basketball eagerly waiting to carry the torch when Curry’s playing days are over.

LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards are likely the Warriors’ best options if they want to find a future star. Both have shown great offensive capabilities and have the ‘alpha dog’ mentality that every future All-Star needs to have.

The only concern here is that a player of Ball or Edwards capacity may not want to play in a limited role for a championship-contending team. It would require patience from these top prospects in order to make this fit work.
