1. Trade the pick (All-in)

Let’s face it, even if the first two options go exactly to plan, it could be decades before the Golden State Warriors have another chance to win a championship. They need to strike while the iron is hot.

The window for winning a title can be slammed shut without a moment’s notice. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green aren’t getting any younger but they are still among the best players in the association. It’s unlikely the Dubs will have a new trio as strong as these three anytime in the near future.

As a result, the best option is to trade their draft pick and go all-in on the next few seasons. With Andre Iguodala’s $17 million dollar trade exception, the Dubs have plenty of wiggle room to make a trade work.

Who would they target? Names like Marcus Smart and Dennis Schroeder come to mind as potential options. Other stars like Rudy Gobert and Bradley Beal could be in play too.

Whoever it may be, the Warriors better work quickly to find a suitable trade partner so they can take full advantage of their championship window before it’s closed.
