Marquese Chriss

While his debut season with the Warriors may have not panned out due to the league suspension, Marquese Chriss’ time on the court was not bountiful during the 2019-2020 season. In his 59 appearances this season, Chriss only averaged 20.3 minutes per game.

Chriss made sure to make the most of those 20 minutes each game though, as he shot 54.5% from the field. This is a major improvement from the Marquese Chriss that Cleveland knew, a washed-up, yet still extremely young, forward who only shot 38.4% from the field.

With this dramatically increased performance, one can’t help but wonder the contributions Chriss could have made if given the time.

While the minutes Chriss played may not be plentiful, the Warriors have seen enough out of him to recognize his potential.

In February, the Warriors made the decision to sign him to a two-year contract, this comes months after signing a contract with the team. Chriss was released and brought back a little big later.
