Kris Dunn

The 6-foot-3 point guard from Connecticut will be entering his fifth season in the league and has been playing under the Chicago Red Bulls for the past three seasons. He’s due for a new contract, and as the Bulls snagged Coby White, Dunn may not be an afterthought.

The Providence graduate shoots 42.2% from the field, but his defensive history is where Dunn’s real story is. Even though this season went unfinished due to COVID-19, he was leading the league in his steal percentage and ranked high in many other defensive rankings.

Dunn tabbed around 2 steals per game, resulting in the 101 total steals for the season (4th in the NBA). He was a solid defensive presence, and that’s exactly what he’d bring Golden State, who have Stephen Curry as their starting point guard.

It’ll be interesting if Dunn gets any high-value offers. He’s averaging 7.3 points per game on 44% from the field. He’s a good player with an elite presence on the defensive end. That combo should make Golden State at least intrigued.

Again, for Dunn and the Warriors, it’s about the price.
