Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole was not good to start the season.

That can not be stressed enough, and his struggles at the beginning should be just another reason that he could have such a high ceiling in the league. However, after a short stint in the G-League where he absolutely dominated the competition, Poole returned a new player.

He averaged over ten points per game over his 13 games and scored in double figures in 12 of the 13. Along with shooting almost 50% from the field, Poole showed vast improvements in just about every area of his play.

His season averages and figures don’t do what he showed at the end of the season justice.

He’s a streaky player, and throwing someone like that to the wolves early on is not a recipe for success. Steve Kerr knew that, and while it did take Poole time and coaching to come around, now that he’s here, he’s really showing who he can become.

Poole can be a star, but he still must work on his efficiency. He showed his playmaking is there at the tail end of the season, and with time still there to improve, Poole should continue to make strides before it’s too late.
