2. Rodney Hood

Before falling with a torn Achilles, Rodney Hood was shaping up to be a key member of the Portland Trail Blazers. The scoring forward was coming into his own as a role player and was making strides alongside Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

Hood was making only $5 million a year before his injury. At 27 years of age, an Achilles injury could devastate more than just his athleticism but his salary as well. It’s possible the Dubs manage to snag Hood for a cheap price.

This would be huge if Hood is able to return anywhere near the level of production he was at last year. Hood was averaging 11.0 points per game and drilling nearly 50 percent of his 3-point attempts.

With the Golden State Warriors, Hood can act as an extra scoring threat to space the floor for the team. His potential as a spark plug off the bench is enough for the Dubs to pursue him in free agency.
