Everyone has been clamoring for the Golden State Warriors to make a trade. But, what if the front office decides not to make any changes?

If you’ve been on the internet, you’ve seen all of the trade proposals. Even our site has been filled with potential trades the Golden State Warriors could consider. The Warriors have plenty of tradeable assets but what if the front office decided to hold onto their cards?

Let’s start off by naming the Warriors assets. Firstly, their 2020 First Round NBA Draft pick has to be at the top of the list. The franchise isn’t exactly looking to initiate a rebuilding period with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green on the roster. Consequently, the need for a top prospect is minimum.

But, what if the Dubs do decide to use the pick? It’s entirely possible that the star of the NBA’s next generation could be selected No. 1 overall. This class may seem weak to many analysts but they have been wrong before. I mean, how many predicted Curry would revolutionize the game of basketball before he was drafted?

Then, let’s talk about Andrew Wiggins. The former top pick has yet to make a lasting impact on the league. It seems increasingly likely his best fit for the Dubs will be as a third scoring option. His best attributes are shot creation and slashing. If he can do these at an efficient rate, the Dubs will gladly keep him on their roster.

Believe it or not, Green is one name that has appeared in trade rumors too. It’s been over three years since Green won the Defensive Player of the Year Award and his decline has been rapid. However, an extended rest period could do wonders for Green as he attempts to rejuvenate himself for another title run.

The Warriors have plenty of reasons to be concerned about their current roster. Inexperience is a real issue and lack of depth could bite them in the end. However, all of the pieces of the puzzle are there. All it will take is a little bit of luck and a lot of hard work for this roster to achieve something great.
