Alec Burks

The Golden State Warriors dealt Alec Burks. While we don’t know if there are hard feelings there, we do know that at least the side that originally dealt him should have some reason to look into bringing him back.

At least for Golden State, Burks shined. Given the spotlight and the ball, Burks revived his career with the Warriors. After all, he turned himself into a piece that was worthy of bringing in a few second-round picks.

Burks did that by making the most of his opportunity. With the Warriors, after failing to stay healthy elsewhere, Burks averaged 16.1 points and 1.8 threes per game, both career highs for the 28-year-old.

While he was rather inefficient, an area he can certainly improve on, Burks showed that he can score at a high level, and on a backseat style of role, Burks should be able to finally get those percentages up.

Burks may not even be open to a return, but what he could bring to the table should have the Warriors looking to mend their relationship.

It’d be interesting to see how Burks, the backup small forward, would perform if back in the Bay with the team fully healthy.
