Detroit Pistons

The fourth team that could use Wiggins’ services is the Detroit Pistons.

With Blake Griffin set to hit the market in the next few seasons and cap space to use regardless of his contract, the Pistons could use a scorer like Wiggins. There’s no denying that Wiggins, at the very least, brings a competent scorer with him.

While many destroy him as a player because his lackadaisical defense, Wiggins can continue to improve in the right situation. The Pistons used a top pick a few years ago on a player that could’ve turned out to be Wiggins-like in Stanley Johnson.

The Pistons are in a weird spot where the future is there, but the past is also there. Griffin will continue to keep the Pistons afloat, but they’re far from a competent playoff team.

As for Derrick Rose and Luke Kennard, they’re solid players and elite scorers, but they aren’t exactly the player that will take this team to the next level.

Wiggins may not be their guy either, but he would give them a capable scoring threat that could also provide a sizable and consistent wing. While it’s doubtful Detroit would crave a player like Wiggins, there’s no reason they couldn’t be the third team in a trade that lands Golden State a star.
