In free agency, the Golden State Warriors won’t have much money to work with, but they must do what they can to make this team a Finals contender again.

The Golden State Warriors season is all but over.

As the association looks to potentially restart the league with 22 teams, the last place Warriors wouldn’t stand a chance at returning to action, forcing to focus on the offseason a bit earlier than most teams for the first time in quite some time.

As many recall, the Warriors five straight Finals streak will be broken as they’re the only team out of playoff contention.

While it’s been a tough season, there have been silver linings.

One of them in the team’s 2020 first-round pick, one in which they’ll end up retaining after dealing to the Nets. While that pick will matter, the free agency period that will follow will be even more impactful for the team’s future.

With the limited cap space due to max contracts given to Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson, the Warriors will be struggling to bring in high-profile stars.

They’ll have to do some digging and bring in veterans or those forgotten high-ceiling players that could thrive with the organization. That said, let’s dive into three players that should be at the top of the team’s target list in the 2020 free agency period.
