The team needs frontcourt help

It’s not just that he can defend the perimeter.

It’s not just that he’d help space the floor.

Both of those are great, but they mean nothing if the Warriors have a player of that caliber. Thankfully for both parties, they don’t, making Gasol the perfect addition.

The Warriors’ current seven-foot players are….. Dragan Bender.

To be fair, Gasol is only 6-foot-11. However, we can refine the search to include Gasol rather easily. Who is over 6-foot-10 that plays for Golden State? Yet again, the only answer is Bender, a player that could easily not be on the roster next season.

This team needs size, and they need it badly. Gasol doesn’t fully suffice, but he’s a terrific starting point. Along with Chriss and Looney, Gasol would help create a backcourt that complements Golden State’s superstar backcourt perfectly.

Gasol at the MLE price range of around $6 million would be a steal.
