1. Blockbuster trade

The last and most exciting option the Golden State Warriors have is to trade their first round pick and aim big. This pick is the perfect sweetener to orchestrate a blockbuster trade.

As previously mentioned, the Warriors aren’t in desperate need of a young prospect to step in and save their franchise. However, other teams aren’t so fortunate. In particular, the middle of the pack organizations like the Washington Wizards would gladly accept the top pick in the upcoming draft.

This makes the Wizards a prime target for trade conversations. Bradley Beal is averaging career-high numbers for Washington but his team isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Swapping the Dubs first round pick and other players for Beal is a great way for Golden State to gain more firepower while Washington secures a potential prospect for the future.

Pulling off a big trade with any team will be difficult financially. However, it is possible if the Warriors utilize their $17 million dollar trade exception. This is the best way to build a championship-caliber roster by next season.
