The Golden State Warriors aren’t part of the 22-team restart, but they do have solid reasons to root against a few specific teams.

On July 31, the NBA season will resume as 22 teams will meet in Orlando, Florida. for eight games and then a potential play-in tourney before the actual postseason. The restarted season will return the joy of the NBA to fans in a time when America desperately needs something to look forward to.

For the Golden State Warriors, they won’t be in that restart. The worst team in the Western Conference, the Warriors will be on the outside looking in, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t a few silver linings to this rough year.

Having a guaranteed top-five pick will help recoup some of the burdens of watching 65 games and a mere 15 wins as will having a trade exception valued at over $17 million and a mid-level exception in their arsenal.

While the Warriors’ faithful may not see their team in the playoffs for the first time in over half a decade, most will likely watch the league as it gets back in action. Who should they root for? Who should they root against?

Today, we’ll answer the latter half of those questions. That said, let’s dive into who the Warriors should be rooting against as the league is set to restart in under 60 days.
