Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James has been the Warriors’ rival for quite some time now.

Taking a year off last season to acquire a second superstar, James is looking to come back to the playoffs with vengeance. He has his Lakers atop the West, and after that down season, he’s looking to reclaim his throne.

With Anthony Davis by his side, the duo makes up the best two-man combo in the West. While their surrounding core leaves a bit to be desired, they should be largely carried by their two stars and then players like Danny Green.

In a contract year, Davis is almost guaranteed to re-sign with the Lakers, but a short postseason could end those chances and take down one of the Warriors’ top rivals. That seems unlikely even if the Lakers lose.

The legacy of Kobe Bryant is the only reason fans should be rooting for the Lakers. For every other reason, including the play of a man the Warriors have downed three times in the Finals, Dubs fans should be rotting against LA.
