The Warriors could very possibly land the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, and if they do, they could trade down for one of these three prospects.

The Golden State Warriors were the NBA’s worst team during the 2019-2020 season. They won 15 games, losing 50.

They’ll be tied for the highest odds at the top pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, and they’ll be guaranteed a top-five pick with over a 40% chance at a top-three pick. Either way, this team may end up dealing the pick.

While they won’t know their official pick for a few months, it’s still worth looking into the future to see who Golden State may want to select. If gifted the top-overall pick, the Warriors will, at the very least, consider trading it.

The team doesn’t necessarily need Anthony Edwards or LaMelo Ball. They don’t need that high-ceiling, low-floor type player. The Warriors need someone they can develop into their next star, not necessarily a player that can immediately contribute.

Projected to be a top team next season, the Warriors may look to add future assets as well, one thing they’ll certainly look for in any deal. However, to get those, they’ll need to trade back. With capable targets, let’s dive into three players they could trade back to draft.
