Golden State Warriors: 3 low-cost, high-quality 2020 NBA Free Agents
By Tony Pesta
1. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
The Golden State Warriors don’t need to look much further than Rondae Hollis-Jefferson if they want a versatile two-way player that can benefit their bench in every way.
Jefferson has flown mostly under the radar but has had a positive impact on the Toronto Raptors all season. He is averaging 7.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game off the bench and is proving to be a force on both ends of the floor.
Standing at 6’6″ with broad shoulders and lanky arms, Jefferson has the ideal build for a wing in today’s NBA. He is a good on-ball defender and has potential as a playmaker, dishing out almost two a game this season.
Most importantly, he is only 25 years old. Jefferson can add to the Warriors’ young core and be one of the more promising players on the roster. He will need to improve as a 3-point shooter but his value as a defender is enough to warrant signing him with the MLE.
