3. D.J. Augustin

It’s understood that the Warriors are lacking depth at the guard position. Sure, Curry and Thompson are superstars. But, the rotations become weak after that. Ky Bowman, Damion Lee and Jordan Poole are the next guards off the bench. Not exactly the type of secondary unit you want to steer the ship.

D.J. Augustin is exactly the guy who can fix this. Augustin has spent years giving quality production to multiple NBA teams. He has been in the league for over a decade and has sharpened his decision-making skills. Augustin can offer some additional playmaking off the bench.

Most importantly, Augustin is an efficient shooter. He has shot over 40 percent from deep in three of the last five seasons and is averaging double-digit points for the Orlando Magic. He is a skilled catch-and-shoot player, drilling 44.0 percent of his 75 attempts this season.

His value as a backup guard for Curry can’t go understated. Augustin will be a key member of the team if he can continue to spread the floor and create plays effectively.
