The Golden State Warriors will have a guaranteed top-five pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, and here are three players they shouldn’t consider selecting.

After a 15-50 season, the Golden State Warriors, who initially dealt their 2020 first-round pick, will be tied for the highest odds at the No. 1 overall pick. They retained the selection because of the top-20 projection the team put on it.

The Cavaliers and the Timberwolves are also going to be tied for the top odds at the pick. However, for Golden State, they can rest assured that they’ll at least have a top-five pick, and without a clear No. 1 prospect, they will probably get their guy at any range in the top five.

Thankfully, Golden State is unlikely most lottery teams. They’ll, even without this pick, be one of the best teams in 2021, one reason they take a player with a higher ceiling in need of more development.

With the return of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry, a duo that combined for five games in the 2019-2020 season, the Warriors will be just fine. They’ll also boast three-time All-Star Draymond Green and former No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins.

That said, let’s dive into three prospects that the team, given their current set up, should avoid in the 2020 NBA Draft.
