Patrick Patterson

The 31-year-old Patrick Patterson signed with the LA Clippers this past offseason after two seasons with the OKC Thunder.

Patterson has been a journeyman throughout his career, playing for five different teams throughout his nine seasons in the league. His longest tenure was with the Toronto Raptors where he spent three and a half seasons.

Throughout this career, Patterson hasn’t been the most elite scoring threat. However, he has been a solid three-point shooting threat, something the Warriors could use to fill out their small-ball starting five. Patterson shot over 38% from downtown this season.

The Warriors don’t have a solid-shooting big man in their frontcourt. At 6-foot-9, Patterson should be able to play alongside Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins in the frontcourt. They have Kevon Looney and Marquese Chriss, but neither has a three-point shot in their repertoire.

Patterson should be welcomed on for the veteran’s minimum, and he’d help create one of the most versatile and dynamic lineups in the Western Conference.
