Golden State Warriors: 10 Lowkey offseason targets to revamp dynasty
By Tony Pesta
2. Avery Bradley
The Los Angeles Lakers are going to be hurting in Orlando without their top perimeter defender, Avery Bradley. The two-time All-Defensive member has opted out of traveling to the Disney bubble and will focus on preparing himself for next season.
Bradley has spent 10 years in the league and worked for everything he has earned. He played three seasons in Boston as a bench player before eventually climbing his way into the rotation and becoming a staple to their offense and defense in 2017.
After bouncing around to a few different teams, Bradley found himself in Los Angeles. He started in 44-of-49 games and was a high-impact player for the top-seeded team in the Western Conference.
Bradley was averaging 8.6 points per game but it was his defense that made him so crucial. He ranked third on the Lakers in Defensive Win Shares and posted the third-best Defensive Rating of any player on the roster to appear in 45+ games.
The Warriors could absolutely bargain with Bradley to sign him with their MLE. The 29-year-old made $5 million dollars this year, lower than what the Dubs will be able to offer him in the offseason when he becomes a free agent.
