The Golden State Warriors may return to play soon as the eight teams not included in the league’s restart are pushing for a separate return to play.

There’s no denying this season was a rough one for the Golden State Warriors.

After the last five NBA Finals appearance, this season seemed forgettable and almost like a failure of sorts, not living up to the lofty standards set over the last half a decade. That said, there were a few silver linings fans can hold onto from such a down year.

But, there no around to the fact that the Dubs went 15-50 through the team’s first 65 games, and as it was once thought, the season would’ve ended for Golden State after those 65 games.

However, there is a plan for the last eight teams not included in the 22-team restart. It would be in Chicago, not Orlando. It’s also unlikely there would be any type of playoffs between the teams and these would be just regulation-style games put on to build chemistry and morale.

Also, it’ll be difficult heading into next season having been sidelined from NBA action for over six months. The call to restart for these teams makes sense, but the Golden State Warriors shouldn’t be thrilled about returning to action.

Let’s dive into why that might be.
