Golden State Warriors: 3 Players to watch in potential Chicago bubble
By Tony Pesta
1. Dragan Bender
The fourth pick in the 2016 NBA Draft finally took steps towards finding a home when he joined the Golden State Warriors.
Dragan Bender’s career has been mostly a disappointment so far. Despite his best efforts, he failed to carve out meaningful roles with the Phoneix Suns or Milwaukee Bucks. He played just seven games this year before joining the Dubs late in the season.
Bender took full advantage of the 10-day contract given to him. He averaged a career-high 9.0 points and 5.9 rebounds while looking like a brand new player at times. Bender scored at a decent efficiency and helped spread the floor a bit.
At 22 years of age, there is still a ton of potential left in Bender. The Warriors have expressed interest in keeping him for next season but the only way he can guarantee a spot on the roster is by impressing everyone in the Chicago bubble.
