Eric Paschall + Andrew Wiggins

The first trade to consider is Eric Paschall and Andrew Wiggins for Gordon, a forward with two years left on his contract. Wiggins is also on a huge contract with several years left and dealing him now could partially free the team from a massive luxury tax bill.

While money hasn’t been a huge issue, it could allow them to spend elsewhere as well, potentially using their MLE and $17.2 million trade exception.

However, the team seems to be big fans of Paschall, a five-year collegiate stud that Golden State drafted in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft. Paschall was one of the league’s best rookies and by far the best second-round draft pick this season, averaging around 14 points per game.

The combo seems like a fair deal for Gordon, who put up 17.6 points per game a few seasons ago. Given his length, the duo of Green and Gordon in the frontcourt would be ideal, and if they can keep their 2020 pick, they can bring in Edwards to start alongside the duo as well.

Paschall and Wiggins will be huge factors for the team next season, and neither are on the trading block. But, at the same time, this trade seems like it’d make sense for both parties.
