Andrew Wiggins + second-round pick
The Magic have watched Gordon’s numbers decline over the past two seasons. While that’s not too concerning given the fact that they’ve added star power and even brought in a young forward to play alongside Gordon, it’s still a fact that may eventually be addressed.
From that 17.6 points per game all the way down to just over 14, Gordon’s efficiency has also taken a hit. He’ll have a value, but it may not be what people think.
It’s a debate if Gordon’s actually worth the Warriors’ first-round pick, which is a guaranteed top-five selection. His decline in numbers may make that too valuable, leaving the Magic with the option of Wiggins plus a few other assets.
In this proposal, they get a pick, potentially securing a player they’d choose over Eric Paschall or even Jordan Poole. The Warriors restocked their second-round picks by snagging three in a deal that sent Glenn Robinson III and Alec Burks to Philadelphia.
That said, this is another package that the Warriors should consider tossing out there for the sixth-year stud who has yet to become an All-Star.
