The lone three-team trade

This would be a long shot of a deal, but it makes sense. While the Hawks may not entertain the idea of parting with John Collins, they’ll bring in potentially the No. 1 overall pick and then what could be another lottery pick.

Collins was suspended for the bulk of the season, hurting the Hawks playoff chances. The team has their star in Trae Young and should consider surrounding him with young pieces like Collins. For the Magic, they also have young talent and would like a potential star in Collins.

That said, it’s all on how the teams view this draft. With players later in the lottery like Tyrese Maxey, the draft has potential depth. If you consider Anthony Edwards and Maxey in exchange for those picks, would this be better then?

The Warriors deal their first-round pick which wouldn’t necessarily be ideal, but they would be bringing in Gordon for a player that has a low floor in either Edwards or Ball, the two consensus potential No. 1 picks.

This is an interesting concept, but it feels like the Hawks may value Collins’ ceiling more than these picks.
