The Golden State Warriors will have several avenues to improve their roster, and one target they must look into is Suns forward Kelly Oubre Jr.
There’s no denying the 2019-2020 season was a rough one for the Golden State Warriors. After five straight Finals appearances with three titles to back up their dominance, the Warriors 15-50 record came at a surprise.
The original plan for the season certainly wasn’t to win just a mere 15 games and wind up at the bottom of the West. Stephen Curry leading the team while Klay Thompson healed his torn ACL was thrown out the door when Curry broke his hand in the fourth game of the season.
After that, it was the D’Angelo Russell show for a few months before he was traded and gave the spotlight to small forward and former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, a player the team added from Minnesota.
Wiggins, along with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Marquese Chriss are expected to be the Warriors starting five. However, their bench could use some playmaking. That’s where Kelly Oubre Jr. could come into play.
Given that they have multiple exceptions and a high-value first-round pick, one they’ll reportedly consider trading, at their disposal, anything is possible — even Oubre Jr. That said, let’s dive into three reasons why he’s the perfect addition.
