Potential

Kelly Oubre Jr.’s potential is through the roof.

After being traded from Washington and getting on the young and energetic Suns, Oubre’s value shot up instantly as he quickly became a go-to scorer for the team lacking any consistent threat outside of Devin Booker.

Oubre Jr. has improved each of his five seasons in the league, from 3.7 points per game to almost six times that this past season.

For the 24-year-old, missing the lottery half a decade ago potentially lit a spark in him that he won’t ever let cool down, similar to how Draymond Green can still quote all the first and second-round draft picks taken before him.

Oubre Jr. is a sleek, athletic, 6-foot-7 small forward. Given his level of athleticism, the sky truly is the limit for Oubre Jr., and there’s almost no better place that could harness that energy than Golden State.
