Marquese Chriss

Another young gun that still needs to prove himself is Marquese Chriss. Expected to be the starting center next season, Chriss has become a favorite among the coaching staff.

After almost being cast aside by every other team, the uber-athlete Chriss was finally given a chance to succeed, and in the right culture, he did just that. This season, Chriss was averaging 9.3 points on 55% from the field, both career highs.

Many forget that Chriss is younger than Dubs’ rookie Eric Paschall. Having just turned 23, the center still has room to grow.

Oftentimes players come into this league, and if they can’t figure it out, they get forgotten. Chriss was like that, but he’s revived his career. As with Paschall and Poole, he could use the time in the second bubble to further his impressive on the team’s coaching staff.

Chriss will more than likely be on the team next season in some capacity, and this time could allow him to continue to build relationships with teammates that the majority will also be back on the roster.
