Aron Baynes
Having cemented himself as one of the best big men on the Suns, Baynes was able to step up into a much bigger role after Deandre Ayton was suspended. The 33-year-old Baynes took his game to a new level this past season.
He was averaging 11.5 points per game, almost double his previous career-high. He’s also shooting 4.0 threes per game, making 1.4 of them. That’s impressive for Baynes who had taken a total of seven three-point attempts in his first five seasons.
Baynes, a free agent, may be a coveted target given his ability to space the floor. He’s not the greatest defender in the league, but aside Draymond Green, he should be fine. Still having a few solid season remaining, there’s a good bit to like about Baynes fit with the Warriors.
A champion with the Spurs several seasons ago, Baynes knows what it takes to help a team get to the Finals. He wasn’t a major contributor to that team, but he filled his role well.
That said, Baynes, given his length, ability to space the floor and price, is a perfect free agency target.
