If the Golden State Warriors choose to be active in free agency, they should look to fill some much-needed roles with these targets.

We’ve been discussing potential free agency targets for the Golden State Warriors all month long. Today, we are going to try narrowing down their goals by looking at some much-needed roles they need to fill in the offseason.

The Warriors still have their old core of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, but their supporting cast isn’t what it used to be. The voids left behind from former players such as Andre Iguodala, Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut, Quinn Cook and Shaun Livingston will be tough to fill in.

Golden State worked diligently to stop the bleeding from losing Kevin Durant. They hauled in Andrew Wiggins and a pair of draft picks to numb the pain but a few gaps in the roster remain unfilled.

The Dubs are stifled for cap space but will have the opportunity to make a big signing with their mid-level exception. Thankfully, the free agency market could be diluted due to the financial impact of the season being shortened. This could be all it takes for the Dubs to hit a home run in the offseason with one of these targets.
