The Golden State Warriors have been dominant yet again as they made four appearances on Bleacher Reports list of the top 10 teams of the last decade.

Bleacher Report has posted another ranking, this time listing the 10 best teams of the last decade. The Golden State Warriors are all over this list, appearing a total of four times and holding the top two spots on the list.

Overall, the order isn’t too surprising. The 2016-17 Dubs hold the crown as the addition of Kevin Durant to a team that had just won 73 games was simply overkill. That team stormed to a 16-1 record in the playoffs and won the title with ease.

Where things get a bit shocking is the decision to place the 2014-15 Warriors at second, above notable teams such as the 2012-13 Miami Heat and of course, the 2015-15 Dubs who broke the single-season record for wins and fell just one game short of the championship. While yes, the 2015 squad was deep and had a great MVP season from Stephen Curry, it’s truly hard to argue they were better than just about any other team on the list.

For 99 percent of the 2015-16 season, the Warriors were heralded as the greatest team of all-time. Then, after losing by four points in a decisive Game 7 of the NBA Finals, their legacy was destroyed. That historic team now ranks eighth on the All-Decade list. In reality, they may be the second-best team on the ranking. Had it not been for a brief collapse, in part due to injuries, the record-breaking Warriors may be remembered much differently.

The other appearance from the Dubs came from their 2017-18 season when they swept the Cleveland Cavaliers for their second straight title. We have to imagine the 2018-19 Warriors would have made the list as well if injuries hadn’t completely derailed their season.

As we enter a new decade and a brand new era of Warriors’ basketball, we look forward to seeing if the franchise can have as much success as they did in the previous 10 years.
