The Big 3 is aging
The Warriors are still the Warriors that were able to win the 2014-2015 NBA Finals.
They even have a similar roster with Andrew Wiggins replacing Harrison Barnes. However, it’s been over half a decade since that team took the court. The Big 3 are all either in their 30s or will be entering their 30s in the near future.
While they’re still the future for Golden State and a priority for the team, the Big 3 aren’t going to be the face of the Western Conference for too much longer. That may impact Giannis’ decision as he should be looking for a teammate that’ll be a long-time running partner.
Obviously Curry is the main star of the team. He’s now 32 years old.
Curry and Giannis have been seen talking at All-Star games and after two teams compete so the relationship may be there, but by the time Giannis would sign with the Dubs and the team make the playoffs, Curry would be 34.
It may not impact Giannis’ free agency decision much, especially since the Warriors may have a few top draft picks on their team before he has to finalize where he plays the 2021-2022 season at.
