Aron Baynes

It feels add having Aron Baynes on this list, but the 6-foot-10 center vastly improved his game in Phoenix. Signing there after three years in San Antonio, two in Detroit and two in Boston, Baynes took over when Deandre Ayton was suspended.

He became an absolute force for the team’s frontcourt, averaging 11.5 points per game, almost double his previous career-high. It wasn’t just his scoring though; it was his shooting. Baynes shot 4.0 threes per game, making 1.4.

Just two seasons before, he was shooting 0.3 per game at a 14.3% rate. Much improved to over 35%, Baynes would provide excellent shooting, something the Warriors will already be working on among their frontcourt players.

Per 36 minutes, Baynes put up 18.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.3 threes. While his defensive numbers still leave a good bit to be desired, the Warriors would make up that with former DPOY Draymond Green playing alongside Baynes.

Already a champion once, Baynes could bring experience to a frontcourt that boasts Kevon Looney and Marquese Chriss. The 33-year-old would likely be a player the team would sign with the MLE, potentially freeing up the trade exception for a big-name stud.
