Paul Millsap

More of a traditional power forward, Millsap has been on a high-value contract during his latest stint with the Nuggets.

While he might’ve earned that 3-year, $90 million deal back in the day after four straight All-Star appearances, since inking that deal he’s yet to be nominated as an All-State. His numbers have dwindled.

However, on the Nuggets, outside of Nikola Jokic, the culture is a team-first playstyle that doesn’t bode well for Millsap averaging 20-plus per game.

It’d be nice to see him at least eclipsing 15. The Warriors aren’t wanting Millsap as a superstar power forward. They need to, as with the others, shoot well and perfectly fill a role in the team’s frontcourt.

Millsap, among these three, is the best shooting, averaging 44% from downtown this season. His percentages are more ideal than the other two, but he wouldn’t quite be the defensive presence Gasol or even Baynes would be.

Adding Millsap would undoubtedly enhance the team’s offense. Exiting his prime, Millsap is 34 and should be looking to finally get over the playoff hump and make it to the Finals, something he’s yet to do playing in LeBron’s East during the prime of his career.

Millsap would be a terrific addition for Golden State giving his offensive fortitude. As aforementioned, having Green aside him, the team’s defense should be just fine with a Wiggins-Green-Millsap frontcourt.

All three would be perfect additions for this roster and arguably make them title favorites in an increasingly-competitive Western Conference.
