Dion Waiters
Throughout his career, Dion Waiters has been a microwave for teams. I remember watching him play for the Heat and single-handedly take over the game in the second half.
He has that ability, and while it’s something teams crave on a second unit, it’s necessarily a trait that’s sought out among top-tier teams. However, given the weak bench that Golden State does have, a player like Waiters may be welcome.
Waiters is averaging 9.3 points per game while shooting a mere 38.5% from the field. At his peak, Waiters neared 16 points per game. Waiters has only shot over 40% in half of his eight NBA seasons.
Playing with the Lakers, the former top-five pick can be a liability at times. It’ll be a tough sell, but the Warriors should entertain adding Waiters to a second unit void of scoring.
