Patrick Patterson

At 31, Patrick Patterson shouldn’t be nearing the end of his career, but his decline in play over the last few seasons paint a different story.

Playing with the Clippers, we shouldn’t expect to see too much of Patterson while at the bubble. This season, he’s averaging just 11.9 minutes per game despite scoring almost five points in that time.

The Warriors, like with many of these other free agency targets, would want to bring in Patterson almost solely because he’s a solid outside threat, averaging over a three per game and 3.3 per 36 minutes.

Nearing 40% from deep, Patterson would certainly be a veteran’s minimum addition which does help his case, but he needs to show something in the small amount of time he’ll potentially receive with the Clippers, a team looking to take home the 2020 Larry O’Brien Trophy.
