Montrezl Harrell

Montrezl Harrell could be the only player on this list worthy of a max-value deal. He’s been impressive for the Clippers and is a key reason that they’ll be among the top-three teams favored to win the 2020 Finals.

Harrell, who is in his fifth year in the league after being a second-round draft pick by the Houston Rockets, was originally traded in a package deal for Chris Paul who is now on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

This season has, by far, been Harrell’s best.

He’s averaging 18.6 points per game and shooting 58% from the field. It’s not that his other numbers are bad, but they don’t reflect his impact on the game, much like Patrick Beverley or Marcus Smart’s complete stat line.

Harrell would be a terrific addition, filling out the frontcourt with Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins. They would be a dominant trio with the splash brothers. The energy would be unmatched. However, his contract expectations likely won’t agree with the Warriors’ offer.
