Fred VanVleet

VanVleet has played under the Toronto Raptors for the past three years but could be seeking new challenges in the NBA. He may not have much on his resume besides being a 2018-2019 NBA champion, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been on the grind since his debut.

The Illinois native has been gradually stepping up his game as he becomes more experienced in the NBA.

As time has passed, VanVleet has gained more minutes in his career which has resulted in more shooting and more points per game. VanVleet, an undersized guard, has continued to prove he belongs at the sport’s highest level.

His field goal percentage has stayed fairly consistent throughout his career, however, the increased confidence to take more shots has let to more points over the season.

This lead to his current average of 17.9 points per game. An almost 7 point average increase from last season to this season. Let’s also not forget his breakout party when he lit up the Warriors in five of six games in the 2019 NBA Finals.

VanVleet should also be noted for his defensive performance this season, as he is 4th in the NBA for steals per game. VanVleet would be a solid addition for Golden State.
