E’Twaun Moore

We earlier discussed E’Twaun Moore’s teammate Derrick Favors. Now it’s time to mention Moore, a sharpshooter that is oftentimes forgotten about with a backcourt featuring Jrue Holiday and Lonzo Ball.

This season, Moore is averaging 8.6 points per game. His numbers have trended down the last few seasons, but that could be due to the Pelicans becoming a playoff team and adding additional threats.

Moore, who is currently serving as a backup to Holiday, is averaging 8.6 points per game on 37.5% from deep. He’s shot over 42% from deep the last two seasons, so his potential to be a lights out sharpshooter is there.

The 31-year-old Moore isn’t a dynamic player that would vastly improve the roster, but the team does need help behind Thompson. Unless they feel Damion Lee is a long-term solution given his defensive flaws, keeping a close eye on Moore in the bubble could be a smart move.
