Bryn Forbes

Forbes has been with the Spurs since his 2016 debut, but it may be time to switch things up as he could be ready for the spotlight.

Though he has only been in the league for a mere four seasons, Forbes has played enough, starting 81 games last season, to give him enough experience to thrive in the league.

The Michigan native played all 82 games in the 2018-2019 season, technically tied for the highest in the NBA. He’s come to his own and has found his game relatively quickly given his size, standing just 6-foot-2, and style.

Forbes’ shining trait, though, is his three-point shooting ability.

For his career, he shoots 40 percent from outside the arc. In the 2018-2019 season, he tabbed 176 three-point field goals. Another shooting protégé to fill the shoes of Steph Curry when he is off the court may be exactly what the Golden State needs to help their second unit succeed.

The team will prioritize both shooting and finding a backup point guard. For the mid-level exception, one valued at around $6 million, Bryn Forbes could be a terrific addition. He’d also be worthy of a long-term contract if that’s something he’d be willing to sign on for.
