Pat Connaughton

The 6-foot-5 Pat Connaughton will also be a free agent this upcoming summer. Connaughton hasn’t been great throughout his career, but he also hasn’t seen too much opportunity.

Now with Donte DiVincenzo on the roster, Connaughton may be looking at few minutes.

That claim, while it may be specifically due to the addition of the rookie, is correct as he went from 20.7 minutes down to just 18.3 per game. Averaging 5.1 points per game, Connaughton would be a solid backup for Golden State.

Certainly on a minimum-value contract, Connaughton hasn’t truly found success in the league yet. 6.9 points per game is his career-best. Down to just 5.1 this season, Connaughton is excellent within the arc, shooting over 60%.

He’s good around the rim and athletic enough to get there. His shooting could improve, and at just 27, he could be a permanent stud on Golden State’s bench if he can prove himself in the next few months.
