Danilo Gallinari

The Oklahoma City Thunder are, in part, only in postseason contention because of Danilo Gallinari. He’s exceeded their every expectation.

Both Chris Paul and Gallinari along with a few other young players have captained this Thunder team, one en route to postseason contention. Gallinari spent the bulk of his career with the Nuggets then played the last few seasons with the Clippers.

In Oklahoma City, Gallinari is averaging 19.2, the third most of his 11-year career. The last two seasons have been the best two of his career. He’s only improving age with his slow, methodical style. Gallinari is a tall forward and can rebound well.

In a small-ball lineup, he’d be an excellent four with Green at the five. At 6-foot-10, his elite playmaking and shooting coupled with the best three-point shooting backcourt in the history of the game would produce some awing performances.

Gallinari may be an expensive signing, but for what the Warriors are looking for, he may be the perfect fit. He’d likely be the team’s trade exception signee (well traded for) if brought on.
