Nerlens Noel

The Eraser, as Basketball-Reference says he’s called, is finally getting back to his old self, even making way at erasing his lesser performance from the past two seasons. Noel hit a slump when he landed in Dallas, averaging only 4.4 points per game.

But, now this Kentucky alumni is currently shooting 68.5% from the field. A whole ten percent improvement from last season.

In addition to raising his shooting percentage, Noel is also ranked in the top 20 for blocks. He has also been ranked in three separate seasons for blocks per game, proving he’s got the versatility on both ends of the court.

Noel would basically do just those two things for Golden State.

While his offensively game could likely develop more, the crux of what he brings to the table to shot-blocking and offensive efficiency. For Golden State that should be enough to get him considered for a minimum-value deal. At just 26, Noel has room to grow.

He may never be a great outside shooter, but as long as he gives Golden State what they’re looking for in terms of frontcourt depth, he’d be a welcome addition. Proving himself in Oklahoma City, it’s time Noel hits the spotlight in the Bay Area.
